Are you a Merseyside Skeptic?
I think there is a little bit of skeptic in all of us but I hadn’t heard of a special group for that before!
Anyway Merseyside has its very own Merseyside Skeptic Society so I couldn’t resist finding out a little more.
The Society has operated in Merseyside since February this year and offers support for all those doubting Thomas’ out there.
They host regular social events at venues in Liverpool City Centre. I found them through their ‘Skeptics in the Pub’ events which they hold twice a month.
To suit the skeptic in you you don’t even have to be a member to attend!
You can find them at the Crown Hotel at 43 Lime Street, on the 3rd Thursday of each month and at Doctor Duncan’s pub, St John’s Lane, on the first Thursday of each month. The gatherings kick-off from around 8pm and are not only a great excuse to pop out for a pint but offer the chance to share and experience Merseyside Skepticism at its best. You may even be treated to a guest speaker at some meetings.
Skeptics in the Pub hosts its next event on October 15th at the Crown Hotel.
