Libraries in and around Liverpool
Liverpool is a city that takes literacy very seriously: Liverpool City Council has worked hard to deliver a library service the city can be proud of and it is clear they are succeeding.
Liverpool has many libraries, most of which are smaller community libraries serving specific areas of the city, but the main library of the city is the Central Library.
Central Library
The Central Library of Liverpool is found right in the heart of the city and is one of the focal points of any tour of this vibrant place.
The library is found in a large, imposing and elegant building that is hard to miss!
The Central Library has every genre of literature available from crime novels to essays on quantum physics – so there is something for everyone. The library also has computers with Internet access, local history and family research stations, CD’s and DVD’s, along with business and marketing information.
