Full cast now confirmed for popular dramatic readings from Tom Slemen’s best-selling ‘Haunted Liverpool’ books.
Actors Jane Hogarth and Jamie Hampson have been confirmed as the final cast members performing ‘Tales From Haunted Liverpool’, an evening of chilling dramatic storytelling delivered through readings and theatrical performance, at St. George’s Concert Room on Friday 26th – Saturday 27th March 2010.
Following its sell-out November pilot run, stories from Tom Slemen’s famous ‘Haunted Liverpool’ books will again come to life in an atmospheric re-telling of the chilling tales, in the second of a series of readings and brilliant live performances based on volumes 3-4. Tales from Haunted Liverpool is performed by some of Liverpool’s best-loved actors who will take you on a journey into Liverpool’s dark supernatural world bringing the characters of past and present to life.
Adapted and Directed by Jen Heyes (Blood Wedding and Wall Talks), Tales from Haunted Liverpool (volumes 3-4) will see the return of local favourites Brian Dodd (Blood Wedding, Wall Talks and 08 Peoples Opening) and Roy Carruthers (Night Collar, Funny Money and Radio 4 shows). Jane Hogarth (Hollyoaks, Funny Money and Danny Boyle’s Millions) and Jamie Hampson, formerly known as Jamie Clarke (Twopence to Cross the Mersey, The Royal and Doctors) also join the cast. Live music will also be performed by Liverpool cellist Vicky Mutch.

Tom Slemen has written 14 books of ‘Haunted Liverpool’ all of which contains many spine-tingling tales of Liverpool past and present and have regularly been number 1 in the Liverpool bestselling book charts and he has also released a new book of Haunted Wirral tales. Tom Slemen also has very popular columns in the Liverpool Echo and Lifestyle Monthly magazines and a regular spot on Radio Merseyside.

Built in the 1840s, St. George’s Hall is widely regarded as one of the finest neo-classical buildings in the world and is a Grade I listed building. The opulent refurbished Concert Room has been a long standing favourite for readings, including Charles Dickens himself who gave so many readings from the stage and regarded it as a perfect venue.
