The Masque presents: Nick Harper.
Son of the legendary UK singer-songwriter Roy Harper, he grew up surrounded by the illustrious company of the likes of Keith Moon, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and Dave Gilmour, so it was no surprise that Nick too would pick up the guitar and tread the path of his father.
A career that has seen 6 studio albums, 1 live album and 2 EPs, Harper has led a career of critical acclaim. It’s seeing him on the stage when his work really comes alive, the passion in his songs really hits the listener, his distinctive soulful voice taking the audience on a journey from personal introspection to biting political satire via a charmingly caustic wit.
To call Nick a superlative singer/songwriter could put his highly
lauded guitar talent in the shade, and to call him a guitarist’s
guitarist might slight his distinctive, soulful voice and passionate
songs.
Nick will be supported by our personal favourite’s, TJ and Murphy, in their first live performance for 2010 and Dead Cities http://www.myspace.com/deadcitiesband
