Longest running Liverpool club night, Igloo, celebrates 6th Birthday
One of Liverpool’s longest running house music nights, Igloo is celebrating its 6th Birthday on Saturday 6th March at The Beer House, NOVAS Centre, Greenland Street.
The Beer House
Contemporary Urban Centre
41 Greenland Street
Liverpool

Igloo is renowned in Liverpool’s underground house music scene and played host to numerous sell out nights including Rock the Boat held at Walk the Plank theatre ship, and not forgetting the legendary Rave in a Cave at the Williamson Tunnels! If these past events are anything to go by, then clubbers can expect a very special celebratory evening of no holds barred, genre defying, disco-blog busting, deep down underground dirty house music.
Jo Joy, resident DJ and co-promoter, said: “We are really happy to have teamed up this year with Organic as we have two rooms in this new venue and felt the Organic sound really complements what Igloo is trying to achieve. Felix is a great coup for us and I can’t wait to hear what tunes he plays on the night”.

More about Igloo
Igloo was established in 2004 by Peter Broad and Carl Dunne as a way to play their music to like- minded people in alternative venues. From humble beginnings in Club 24/7 and The Kebab House, Igloo became one of the first nights to take up residency in the now legendary Dragon Bar. Jo Joy and Denzil cid=00000000-0000-0000-0000-00000DJs and Igloo has a policy of giving guest slots to local DJs that otherwise wouldn’t have an opportunity to play out in bars and clubs. Most recently Igloo have hosted parties on a boat in the Albert Dock and in the Williamson Tunnels, both in Liverpool. Igloo DJs have also played in Sankeys in Manchester, Box Bar in Glasgow and Hoofer Doofer Festival in North Wales.
