Renowned Welsh dance company Earthfall return to unitytheatre with their 20th anniversary production GIG on Fri 19 Mar at 8pm. GIG is a high-octane satirical rampage through the human condition with dark humour, bold dance, live music and film from the multi award winning Earthfall. The story of a band that encapsulates the world outside with songs, film and extreme dances of love and loathing. The transient and turbulent relationships, trashed instruments, bloody noses and drunken reconciliations are witnessed as they struggle to make sense of their world.

National Dance Company Wales Drift into Liverpool Playhouse on Fri 19 and Sat 20 Mar at 7.30pm. This dazzling show features New works from leading figures Itzik Galili and Andonis Foniadakis. Intriguing Itzik Galili returns with a new commission after delighting audiences at the Playhouse in 2008 with Peeled as part of MDI’s Capital Nights European Dance Festival. Full of pulse-raising energy, you will be drilled to your seats as the dancers surf the music. Andonis Foniadakis’ first work with the company, Veil of Stars, brings his signature physically exhilarating choreography to the hungry, infectious dancers.

New Moves North West takes over The Bluecoat on Wed 24 Mar at 8pm. Similarly to New Moves Liverpool, New Moves North West brings together a number of works from artists establishing a presence on the regional dance scene including Company X, Griffin Dance and Levantes Dance Theatre. Each piece will have its own individual style in responding to the theme of “Technology and Communication”.

In a classic re-telling of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, Vienna Festival Ballet pirouette into The Floral Pavilion on Sat 27 Mar at 7.30pm. Closing March’s dance delight are Britain’s Got Talent winners Diversity in an all new show ‘Bringing A Toy Story to Life’ at the Liverpool Empire Theatre on Sun 28 Mar at 7.pm. This show promises be an interactive story taking Diversity’s talent to a whole other level. Apart from their outstanding dance routines, the show includes state-of-the-art lighting and screens, with sound creating an unbelievable experience.
