Best Buy, a leading consumer electronics retailer, has today announced that its fourth UK store will open in Aintree in September.
Situated at the Racecourse Retail Park, Best Buy Aintree will showcase the latest and greatest audio and visual equipment, computing technology, entertainment devices, appliances, mobiles, music, movies, games, and the connections – including fixed and mobile broadband – content and services to really enable customers to get the most out of their technology. Best Buy’s Blueshirts – the in-store team – will also be on hand to help make buying technology easier by providing tailored and impartial advice.
Matt Fowler, General Manager, Best Buy Aintree, said:
“We’re really looking forward to opening our doors to the public next month. Our team of Blueshirts and Geek Squad Agents are in the middle of their nine week training programme and can’t wait to put their knowledge and skills to the test.”
Best Buy’s first store opened in Thurrock on 30th April, followed by Hedge End (Southampton) on 28th May and Merry Hill (West Midlands) on 25th June. After Aintree, Best Buy will open stores in Croydon (Surrey) and Derby in Autumn 2010, followed by Cribbs Causeway (Bristol) and Nottingham in Spring/Summer 2011.
About Best Buy and The Carphone Warehouse

Two years later, Best Buy acquired 50% of the Carphone Warehouse’s European and US retail interests for £1.1billion, creating Best Buy Europe. The new venture is designed to accelerate the development of Carphone Warehouse’s retail proposition and to introduce Best Buy stores across Europe, beginning in the UK in spring 2010.
