Defender Joleon Lescott did not train with the Everton’s first team on Wednesday 19th August, with manager David Moyes saying the 27-year old had been dropped for the following day’s Europa League match against Sigma Olomouc, because of his “poor attitude”.

Moyes said: “His attitude in the past few days has been poor and for that reason I won’t include him.
